A 16-year-old boy has been charged and remanded to appear in court this morning in connection with the public disorder in Milton Keynes last week.

The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with one count of violent disorder, one count of burglary non-dwelling, one count of shoplifting and one count of criminal damage.

These charges relate to the public disorder in Bletchley on August 9.

The boy has also been charged with an unrelated offence of one count of possession of a class B drug, namely cannabis.

He has been remanded to appear at Milton Keynes Magistrates’ Court this morning.

Further arrests have also been made in connection with the public disorder elsewhere in the Thames Valley area.
