Teenager stabbed: 17-year-old arrested

A 17-year-old has been arrested over a stabbing of a schoolboy close to a Bletchley school on Tuesday afternoon.

The teenager, who has not been named, was stabbed with a knife shortly after 3.30pm in Whaddon Way, just yards from Lord Grey School in Bletchley, following an altercation involving a group of teenagers.

The victim, who has also not been named, is a Year 12 student at The Lord Grey, He is understood to still be in Milton Keynes Hospital where his injuries are described as not life-threatening.

Police are maintaining a presence outside the school gates “in the short term”.

Headteacher Tracey Jones said the school was usually “peaceful and harmonious” and called for the incident not to be blown out of proportion.
