Thieves disturbed after house break-in

Thieves broke into a house in Kents Hill on Tuesday after forcing through the front door.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the incident which took place at 3.30am. However, the victim heard a noise and on checking found the front door open and the offender making off on a bicycle.

Nothing was stolen.

The offender is white, 5ft 10ins, slim, approximately 20 years old with no facial hair.

He was wearing a dark baseball cap, grey top with a hood, dark grey jacket with a zip and two large pockets and lighter grey panels on the arms. He was also wearing black tracksuit bottoms and white shoes.

The bike was a grey mountain bike with an 18in frame.
