A reward of up to £1,000 has been offered for information leading to the recovery of stolen radio equipment.

The equipment, used by community radio station MKFM, was stolen from a car in Kingsmead on Tuesday night.

It includes an Airmate radio mixer, black disco PA speakers and DJ lights valued at £4,000.

MKFM’s Darren Dorrington said: “MKFM is a community radio station working for the benefit of Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas. Some of the equipment stolen is used at charity events, it’s absolutely essential we recover or replace what’s been stolen. Hopefully a member of the public can assist us with information.

“It’s a very busy time for us preparing for our full time launch on DAB digital radio towards the end of April. Thankfully this theft won’t delay our plans.”

Police confirmed the items were stolen from a black Kia in Kingsmead between 7.30pm on Tuesday and 6.45am yesterday.

Witnesses can call police on 101 or the station on 01908 230149.
