Two men have been jailed for 30 months each for burglary and possession of a class A drug.
Robert Wery, 25, of Strauss Grove, Browns Wood, and Dean Holland, 25, of Florin Close, Pennyland, both pleaded guilty to burglary and possession of a class A drug when they appeared at Aylesbury Crown Court on Friday.
They will serve 30 months for the burglary and six months for possession of the class A drug. The sentences will run concurrently.
The burglary occurred in Tavelhurst, Two Mile Ash, at 3.25pm on March 5. During the incident, one of the owners came home to find the two men running out of the house, with stolen goods.
When they were caught later the same day, they were also arrested for possession of a class A drug.
Investigating officer, PC James Day said: “I welcome the sentence imposed upon Wery and Holland, who committed this burglary in broad daylight. I hope the sentence sends out a clear message that Thames Valley Police and the courts take burglary offences very seriously, and will always aim to bring offenders to justice.”
