Woman left shaken after phone is stolen

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after a snatch theft on Thursday.

The incident occurred between 6.30pm and 6.45pm in Averbury Boulevard when the victim, a 23-year-old woman, was approached by a man near the multi-story car park close to Debenhams.

The offender snatched an Apple iPhone 3G mobile phone from the victim’s hand and ran off. The victim pursued the offender for a short distance but was unsuccessful in catching up with him. Other members of the public approached the victim to see if she was okay after the incident.

The offender was described as a black man, around 5ft 10ins and with a stocky build. He was wearing a grey hooded top with the hood up and dark trousers.

PC Luke Pratt, from Milton Keynes police station, said: “I am keen to speak to anyone who was in this area at the time and especially the members of public who approached the victim after the incident.”
