Two Lakes Estate charities have benefited from the sale of scrap metal salvaged from the roof of homes during recent repair work.
Following the retrieval of the scrap metal, the £600 proceeds were donated to Crosslinks and the Spotlight Centre, which are based on the Bletchley estate.
The scheme was thought up by contractor Apollo and regeneration company Keepmoat, who were looking for a way to utilise the scrap metal and benefit the community.
Keepmoat Contract Manager Barry Clay said: “It is an absolute pleasure to be able to make this donation to two such fantastic local organisations.
“Crosslinks and Spotlight play such an important part in the lives of many people on the Lakes Estate.
“We always try to support the communities in which we work and are glad to be able to make a donation that will help both organisations continue with their great work.”
