PICTURED are the boys from New Bradwell St Peter’s as they celebrated their undefeated streak back in 1953 which saw them lift the Berks and Bucks Minor Cup.

Thanks to the city’s Our Sporting Life exhibition, held at stadium:mk, home of MK Dons, a call for sporting memorabilia has uncovered the long-forgotted record.

Peter Hill, the captain of New Bradwell’s ‘invincibles’, discovered the picture in his archives and donated it to the exhibition, along with a telegram sent to the players.

He said: “It was delivered to us in the dressing room at Wolverton Parks and read, ‘Bring it back home boys, from the Wolves winning team of 1948-9’. That meant a lot to us, it really did.”
