Pupils on the autistic spectrum are to take part in a unique project being organised by Milton Keynes Theatre and The National Theatre.

The week-long programme at The Walnuts Residential Special School in Milton Keynes is being run in conjunction with the award-winning play The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night.

Students will have an opportunity to work with professional actors exploring the production and learning how drama can aid communication skills and build confidence.

The course will culminate with the students taking part in their own performance for the rest of the school.

The project will cost £1,000 and Milton Keynes Theatre needs support to enable this group of extraordinary pupils to have the chance of a lifetime.
