A LOCAL charity has joined forces with an Olympic champion to help young people taking part in the National Citizen Service scheme.
Make a Difference has linked up with the Dame Kelly Holmes Legacy Trust to offer advice for those working towards the NCS by bringing a network of more than 200 Olympic, Paralympic and world champions to inspire the youngsters.
Denise Davis-Boreham, CEO of Make a Difference said: “The programme is an amazing once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for young people in Milton Keynes.
“The experience will be a fantastic mix of activity planning and delivering a community project, and meeting other young people from across the country, all with the inspiring opportunity of meeting an Olympic athlete.”
Dame Kelly Holmes said: “I am very excited about our partnership and believe we can make this an unrivalled experience.”
