There are at least 523 people in Milton Keynes who are cheating on their other halves, according to a website’s Infidelty Index.
Married dating site IllicitEncounters.com has produced a web application to show how many people are looking for an affair in all areas of the country.
The figures involved are the number of people who have registered to the website, so are definitely looking for a bit on the side.
They could have registered with or without the knowledge of their partners.
A search for Milton Keynes shows 523 people are looking for a bit of hanky panky outside of their relationship.
There are also 311 in Newport Pagnell, 236 in Bletchley and 193 in Stony Stratford.
Bedford has 806 people looking for a little romance outside their current relationship, in the form of either flirting, a regular coffee date, or a full-blown affair.
That figure puts the new city in 126th position out of 140 of the so-called hanky panky hotspots. Northampton is even more faithful, appearing in 136th place.
Mike Taylor, of IllicitEncounters.com, said: “It is fascinating to see the breakdown of how many people are looking for affairs in your local area, who wouldn’t want to see if they live in a hanky panky hotspot? We have already had thousands of people visiting the website looking to see where their home town ranks compared with their friends.”
The site claims to have 750,000 members across the UK.
Maidenhead has claimed the title of the most illicit town in Britain with just over two per cent of the population cheating, with Bournemouth being declared most faithful.
