A mum-of-three strapped herself to the outside of an aeroplane to say thank you to the nurses caring for her dad.

Suzanne Campbell, 40, completed a wing walk at Damyns Hall Aerodrome, in Essex, to raise £1,500 for the Macmillan Cancer Unit at Milton Keynes Hospital.

She said: “I have always wanted to do a wing walk, so it is an amazing achievement.

“My dad is super proud of me. It is has given him something to focus on, other than the cancer, so I think it has really helped him.”

Five years ago Suzanne’s dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer. But in January, her family were devastated to find out it had spread into secondary bone cancer.

“He has been having chemotherapy to help him maintain a good quality of life in the future. He has just finished his last session on Monday. We’re so proud of him.”

Dad Alan said: “The MK Hospital staff have been so caring, so Suzanne wanted to give something back as a thank you. I would like to thank Suzanne for always being there.”
