On Sunday, David Porter, 30, from Milton Keynes successfully crossed the finish line at the Virgin London Marathon to raise vital funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.

David finished the 26.2 mile course in three hours and 57 minutes.

Laura Savory, challenge fundraising manager at Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, said: “Completing the Virgin London Marathon is such a fantastic achievement. David and all our runners should be proud of what they have accomplished both for themselves and for the children at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

“Each year, we need to raise £50 million to rebuild and refurbish the hospital, buy vital equipment and fund pioneering research. Our runners have brought us one step closer to achieving our target so well done to all!”
