TWO brothers have been fined nearly £1,000 for playing loud music.

Paul and Mark Beale formerly of Meads Close, New Bradwell, both pleaded guilty to last year breaching a noise abatement notice served under the Environmental Protection Act 1990.

The court had heard how older neighbours had complained to the council run Community Alarm Centre about loud music being played on July 24 last year, which could be heard from 50 metres away.

Then on October 14, 2010 there was another complaint regarding a loud party taking place, and Magistrates issued a warrant of entry and seized equipment capable of playing amplified music.

The Justices said that they would not order forfeiture of the equipment due to the fact that Paul Beale is a professional DJ.
