The Webber Independent School has partnered with Age UK Milton Keynes for a second year to host a ‘Donate a Blanket’ campaign, aimed at providing older people with extra warmth this winter.

The school received an overwhelming response to the campaign again, with many blankets collected to be taken to sheltered homes within the local community. Any additional blankets will be sold in Age UK shops.

Jane Palmer, CEO Age UK MK said “Age UK Milton Keynes’ Handyperson team fit draught proofing and other energy saving items free of charge over the winter months, which helps keep older people’s homes warm and comfortable. Thanks to the Webber school’s generous donation of 40 blankets, bought and knitted, Age UK MK will be able to help more older people in MK keep warm this winter.”
