A CHARITY that works to build bridges between different cultures in the region has been boosted thanks to a generous donation.
H.E.A.R MK – Heritage, Education and Respect in Milton Keynes – has been given £415 from the Co-operative Community Fund for help with raising awareness.
The group works through attending discussion groups, arranging cross-cultural visits and running educational field trips.
The Brackley Area Volunteer Service has also received £1, 136 to help provide community transport for people.
It helps the elderly and disadvantaged get to medical appointments safely from their homes thanks to volunteer drivers.
The funding will now go towards helping to cover the group’s office and staff costs, allowing it to run more effectively.
