MK DONS have confirmed there has been no approach from League 1 rivals Bournemouth to speak with Kart Robinson regarding their vacant managerial post.

Reports on the south coast have linked Robinson as a contender to replace Paul Groves in the Cherries hot-seat after he was sacked earlier this month following a run of just one win in their opening 10 league games, leaving them in the relegation zone.

The Daily Echo in Bournemouth suggested the club were preparing to seek permission from Dons to speak to the 32-year-old, but as yet there has been no contact.

Bournemouth, who are bankrolled by wealthy Russian businessman Maxim Demin, are believed to be hoping to tempt Robinson with a big-money offer.
