THE heavens opened, but the band’s played on at the 10th annual Download Festival, held at Donington Park last weekend.
The sold-out festival welcomed 100,000 rock fans who witnessed more than 100 bands, including headliners The Prodigy, Metallica and Black Sabbath.
The Main Stage was dedicated to Bletchley-based businessman Jim Marshall, who passed away earlier this year.
“There could not have been a more fitting tribute by Live Nation,” said Jon Ellery, managing director of Marshall Amplification.
“It was a great way to honour and remember the legend Jim Marshall.”
