A duck had a quacker of a surprise when it waddled over to cool off in its usual puddle behind a Milton Keynes church.
For unbeknown to the bird, Milton Keynes Council is turning the redundant water fountain at Fred Roche Gardens into a flowerbed.
MK Council says the new feature will be less of an eyesore than the existing fountain, which was switched off five years ago due to lack of funding and has since filled with rainwater.
When asked where the duck may have come from, an MK Council spokesman said they would not like to speculate.
It’s unknown whether or not the duck thinks the new flowerbed fits the bill.
