Police have released an image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with a robbery in Bancroft in which a 17-year-old girl was left with bruising to her face.

At 8.25pm on Wednesday, October 23, the girl got off a bus from the city centre at the Bancroft roundabout and was approached by a man who had been on the same bus.

The offender grabbed her arm and asked for her mobile phone. When she refused they struggled, but he managed to grab her phone and run away.

The victim suffered bruising to her face, but did not require hospital treatment.

The offender is white, about 6ft tall, of a very slim build, pale complexion and in his early 20s. He was wearing a navy blue hooded jacket with a zip up the front. The hood was up and the drawstrings were tightened and had white tassels on the end. He was also wearing blue denim jeans.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or recognises the description of the man should contact Det Con Wendy Cissell from Milton Keynes police station via the Thames Valley Police Enquiry Centre on 101.
