Milton Keynes Council’s Adult Continuing Education service has been praised for helping to support local students in ‘significantly improving their opportunities for further study and employment’.
The praise comes after a recent inspection report published by Ofsted.
Inspectors, who gave the service an overall judgement of ‘good’, found that learners continued to enjoy their courses and achieve success in their examinations and assessments.
The report also highlighted that ‘tutors are well qualified and use their subject knowledge well to motivate and engage the wide variety of learners’.
ACE currently supports over 3,400 students on over 600 courses, which are held in the two main centres in Bletchley and Central Milton Keynes, and in community venues across the city to ensure that people can easily access learning in their local area.
Claire Griffin, Adult Learning Manager for ACE, said: “It’s good to see ACE continue on its journey to providing an outstanding service to thousands of Milton Keynes residents year-on-year.“We are working hard to keep on improving the service, ensuring that the people we work with are provided with excellent tuition, a positive environment in which to learn and one-to-one support from their tutors.”
