School pupils will soon get the chance to learn about the famous Enigma machine when it is taken on a tour of Britain.
Bletchley Park Trust’s Enigma Outreach programme will see education officer Tom Briggs swapping teaching maths to telling people about codebreaking.
Tom said: “By far the most fun bits of my job involve heading off on outreach visits.
“Anyone can go and see one carefully stationed in a museum-standard glass cabinet, but to interact with one at close quarters, ask questions and have the answers not only spoken but demonstrated? Not everyone gets that.”
Any school or group that would like to be visited by Tom and the Enigma machine can email email@example.com.
