BEAR-ing in mind the plight of ill-treated grizzlies as part of a national campaign, Busy Bees tots are enjoying treating their own cuddly friends to teddy bear picnics.
September sees the World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA) hold its annual fundraiser – Bear Necessities Month.
Children from the Oldbrook nursery joined thousands of people across the country in their efforts to raise awareness and money, by taking their favourite teddy into nursery and enjoying a special picnic.
Nursery Manager Lorraine Harben said: “Bear Necessities Month is lots of fun for children.
“They loved The Jungle Book theme and bringing their teddies into nursery for the day.”
The WSPA Bear Necessities Month aims to engage bear lovers of all ages and get them involved to help bears all around the world.
Unfortunately, many bears are subjected to cruelty and pain but WSPA hopes to tackle this.
Schools and nurseries can get involved at http://www.wspa.org.uk/helping/schools/Default.aspx.
