Glastonbury Thorn School in Shenley Church End has been graded as Outstanding in its latest Ofsted inspection.
Officially visited the school, which caters from youngsters aged four to seven, and said the school was outstanding in all areas including leadership and management, behaviour and safety, quality of teaching, achievement and in the provision of early years education.
This is an improvement on the school’s last inspection in which they were rated as Good.
Headteacher Fiona Webb said: “We are delighted that Ofsted have recognised what, we as a school community, have worked so hard to achieve. Our thanks go to all the children, staff, parents, governors, and the local community for supporting the school in so many ways.
“It has been a joint effort providing a high standard of education and a curriculum which is interesting, exciting and challenging.”
