A GROUP of 13 pensioners showed off their art at a city exhibition yesterday.

The Making Your Mark exhibition took place at Netherfield Meeting Place between 11am and 6pm, with Mayor of Milton Keynes Councillor Debbie Brock presenting certificates to the senior citizens.

The event was the culmination of a year’s work by the Retired and Senior Voluntary Programme Milton Keynes – RSVP MK – along with Milton Keynes Community Foundation.

Participants attended the once a month course at the meeting place over the last 12 months.

Area organiser Nima Pujara said: “For some it was a chance to rediscover their artistic talents.

“For others it was for more therapeutic reasons. It has helped those people a lot.”

RSVP MK is currently involved in projects included running arts and crafts workshops for members of the Third Age University, arts sessions for the Asian Retired Community and garden clubs.
