Wheel2Wheel Holidays has set its sights on Milton Keynes after announcing the launch of its new MK cycling city break, the first to be offered in the city.

The cycling holiday company which launched last month is offering MK visitors the chance to see the city from a different perspective….by bike.

The self-guided tour which can be tailored to each individual includes sights such as StadiumMK, home to the Milton Keynes Dons; Bletchley Park Codebreaking Museum; landmark modern architecture; the critically acclaimed Milton Keynes Gallery and the famous Concrete Cows.

Chris Bird of Wheel2Wheel said: “Milton Keynes is a place not many people know a lot about, with it being so close to London it occasionally gets overlooked; however the city is a cyclists dream with plenty of history and culture to keep you entertained.”

“At Wheel2Wheel we are delighted to offer cycling tours to unusual destinations around the world and to give cyclists the opportunity to explore untapped areas. Milton Keynes is certainly one of the unexplored areas and we hope to attract visitors from the UK and abroad to sample just what the city has to offer.”

With over 250km of cycle paths to explore, Milton Keynes guarantees an exciting cycling experience. You can even stay in a pitch-side hotel at StadiumMK to make the break even more unique.

As one of the first cycling holiday companies to offer cycling holidays in Milton Keynes, Wheel2Wheel wants their guests to enjoy exploring the charm of the so called ‘city in the country’.

Carys Underwood from Destination Milton Keynes said: “We want to challenge people’s mis-conceptions of our city. We have over 4,500 acres of parkland, woodland, lakes and rivers to explore - much of which can be done on bike. In many ways cycling is the very best way to discover a whole other side of Milton Keynes.”

Based around the idea that the bike is simply a means to get around, Wheel2Wheel want guests to get the most out of their holiday and use their bikes to discover new things rather than spend all day in the saddle.

Wheel2Wheel is part of Sports Tours International which was established over 30 years ago and is today one of the UK’s largest specialist travel companies.
