An exciting mix of live music, visual arts, digital art, storytelling, moving image and workshops will be on offer at a family-friendly festival.

The fifth Art In the Park Festival, organised by Milton Keynes Islamic Arts Heritage and Culture takes place in Campbell Park from 1pm to 7pm on July 18 and 19.

The festival has attracted high-profile inter national visual artists Mojgan Lisar, Peter Sanders, Ruh Al-Alam , Rachel Gadsden and Razwan Baig.

Visitors can wonder at the beauty of light and colour in a specially constructed giant Luminarium from Architects of Air.

The live music stage includes singers, bands and dancers, including Paul ‘OmniVibes’ Jackson, As’shiq Al Rasul, Abdelkader Saadoun and, from Spain, Ali Keeler and the Al Firdus Ensemble.

The Art of Food Festival returns with mouthwatering demonstrations and nailbiting competition.

A new element this year is the parade, combining the talents of London-based carnival company Kinetika Bloco and MK-based Festive Road, working with schools and community performers, who will parade through the streets, to arrive in Campbell Park on Saturday afternoon in an explosion of colour and sound.
