The family of David Law, who was murdered at his home in Lichfield Down, Walnut Tree, Milton Keynes, last Monday (5/9) have issued the following statement.
“Dave was a happy-go-lucky guy, with a great sense of humour who was always joking and had lots of friends. He had worked at Buckingham Foods for 17 years and his colleagues there have been in floods of tears.
“Dave’s family was his life and he would help any of us if we needed him. He was devoted to his son David and had moved to Walnut Tree from the city centre so he could be near him and see him whenever he needed to.
“He was with him every weekend, they both learnt Karate together and went to the car boot every week. They had only just returned from a holiday in Turkey with Dave’s girlfriend Naureen and it is a relief to think that David junior will have those memories of his dad to look back on.
“He was not just a brother, a son and a dad, but a best friend as well and we are all heartbroken.”
“Every day we read stories of other victims who have tragically lost their lives to knife crime, yet nobody truly understands the devastating, painful reality, broken hearts, and traumatic grieving that our entire family and close friends are currently experiencing.
“No matter what happens in the courts in our eyes, we will never get justice as nothing will ever overcome the prospect that a dearly loved, caring father, son, brother and uncle has been taken from us.
“Although, he may not be here with us, he will undoubtedly never be forgotten, and remain forever in our hearts.”
Dave leaves behind his son David, mum Lynn, dad David, step-mother Maureen, brother Adam, sisters Sam and Tracy, his niece Vicky and nephew Liam.
David’s girlfriend Naureen Kahn said: “His passing has left a deep darkness in my life. I cannot imagine how I will go on, but for you Dave I will.”
