A team of financial and business advisers have been demonstrating the true spirit of Christmas with a fundraising campaign for charity MK Snap.

The Milton Keynes office of Grant Thornton voted to support the charity, which offers professional support to people with a range of learning disabilities and challenges, as its chosen charity partner and has since visited the organisation to witness first-hand the valuable work they do.

Grant Thornton has already raised over £600 through a Great Milton Keynes Bake Off, Dress Down Fridays and a Christmas raffle, with further plans for 2015 including a Shrove Tuesday Flipathon, a St George’s Day afternoon tea and a Barn Dance.

Kevin Gale, practice leader at the Milton Keynes office, said: “MK Snap is a passionate organisation that makes a lasting and positive impact on the people it supports. The charity has great vision and ambitious plans to expand its learning programmes. We are excited to join them on their journey by helping to raise money, not just this Christmas, but throughout 2015.”

Maureen McColl, CEO of MK Snap, said: “We are thrilled to be supported by such a high profile organisation as Grant Thornton and their contribution will make a real difference to those most in need.”
