Members of Scot FC are still on the ball - despite not playing for two months due to waterlogged pitches.
The squad have been put through their paces by personal trainer Claire Reilly and the team at Muscle Power Gym, Bletchley, writes Ben Hemington.
Scot FC, managed by Steve Farnborough, have enjoyed great success at all levels in the Border Counties League, including two victories in two League Cup finals held at stadium:mk.
The team are now in their second season in adult football and sitting in second place in the North Bucks and District Intermediate League.
But the recent adverse weather has left home and away pitches waterlogged and the team have been unable to play since the end of November.
To help out with the team’s fitness Claire volunteered her services with the lads given an intensive circuit session, training muscles they did not know they had on Tuesday evening.
Said captain Rob Simpson: “Claire gave us a really challenging workout, I would recommend it to anyone, not just footballers.
“The team would like to thank both Claire and Muscle Power Gym for assisting the team, we are excited for the next session.”
Scot FC is planning to make the workouts at Muscle Power Gym a regular fixture, hoping the extra fitness sessions bring results on the football field.
