Former city student earns prestigious internship

A former Walton High student, Alison Reynolds is one of 91 students to have gained a prestigious internship with the Saltire Foundation.

In Scotland the most talented students have the opportunity to gain the internship and this year there are ninety one students who have earned their places on it.

The Saltire Foundation, which was founded five years ago, supports the most talented college students with paid internships in international businesses including IBM, based in the United States, China, Africa, UK and the throughout the European Union.

Sandy Kennedy, CEO of the Saltire Foundation, said: “The Saltire Foundation’s innovative approach to creating a vibrant and dynamic Scottish economy centres on unlocking the country’s human potential. These high-calibre placements challenge Scotland’s top students to develop their own skills while working on projects of real significance to their host companies.”
