Youngsters have the opportunity to train as a football coach and learn key skills for future employment - thanks to a unique new project.
Coaching Forward, launched by Stantonbury Councillor Alex Walker, is encouraging young people to take a six-week course to learn key coaching skills.
They will also attain the FA Level 1 coaching badge.
Councillor Walker said: “I am delighted with the project the partner organisations have come up with.
“Working together we have created something that offers young people a real chance to get a foot on the coaching ladder and learn adaptable skills for the future.
“At the same time it gives local clubs in MK more coaches and ultimately better trained youth players.”
The course, which will be fully funded by the partner organisations Stantonbury Arts and Leisure Trust, Berks and Bucks FA, MK Dons SET and Leap, will see participants gain a period of mentored coaching experience with local clubs.
Training will take place from February to April 2016.
He added: “I hope to see many young people from my ward take full advantage of this initiative and it improves the quality of coaching for local clubs.”
To apply you must be aged 16-24 and be based in the North MK area.
