Four boys have been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm after trouble flared in Fishermead on Friday morning.
The youths are all from Milton Keynes. Two are aged 16, one is 15 and the other 17. They are all currently in custody at Milton Keynes Police Station and being questioned by detectives.
Det Supt Rob Mason, leading the investigation into the murder of teenagers Mohammed Farah and Amin Ismail in May, said: “During the incident a firearm was recovered and on initial examination it appears likely this firearm is the same gun as the one used to kill Mohammed Farah and Amin Ismail.
“This is potentially an important development in the inquiry and I would like to stress that it is now vital that anyone who witnessed the incident this morning (Friday), or who has any information about the murder of Mohammed and Amin tells the police what they know.
