A CITY girl has spoken about her ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ trip to Malawi.
Elsie Bryant was the team leader for charity Progressio, on a three month project working with those living with HIV.
Elsie said: “It was really amazing. I have always wanted to get involved with international development and it is a difficult area to get into so I was lucky to be named team leader.”
Elsie and her team worked with a Women’s Rights Organisation and while she was there helped to film a HIV awareness video.
She said: “I just wish we could have been there longer. It was important to teach them vital skills so they could continue to work when we left.”
