SOME of the city’s best chefs were put through their culinary paces last Wednesday.
The six contestants took part in the Milton Keynes Food & Leisure Awards Chef of the Year competition at the kitchens of Milton Keynes College’s The Chef in Waiting.
The contest is part of the inaugural Food & Leisure Awards, backed by the Citizen.
The awards aim to honour the best in food, drink, hospitality and leisure throughout the city.
Taking part were Chicheley Hall’s Terry Pritchard, Paul Capener from Kingfisher Country Club, Mark Austin of The Swan, Salford, Scott Ludlow from the Purple Goose in Woburn Sands, the Mercure Hotel’s David Green and Shanti Bhushan from Brasserie Blanc.
The winner will be announced at a special gala evening at The Swan in Milton Keynes Village on Sunday, May 13.
