Her visit was the last in a long line of celebratory events for Marshall’s 50th Anniversary.

The Princess unveiled a special amp commemorating her visit, remarking it was one of the more unusual plaques she has seen.

Marshall’s managing director Jon Ellery told Citizen First said: “We were honoured that HRH The Princess Royal found time in her busy schedule to bring a fitting close to Marshall Amps 50th Anniversary year.

“We are extremely proud of our manufacturing facility here in Bletchley and HRH appeared impressed by the passion and dedication shown by the staff members she met, who in turn were instantly put at ease by her gracious manner and knowledge of the company.”
