BLETCHLEY celebrated all things Irish on Saturday when St Patrick’s Day came to town.
The annual parade was a host of colour – mainly green – as people paid homage to the patron saint of Ireland.
Guinness hats, Leprechauns and Irish dancing were all on display as the parade passed through the Queensway.
Among the revellers was John Pell from Downs Barn who captured the images on this page.
Pictured right with the Mayor Alan Richards and Mayoress Christine Richards are Mr Pell’s wife Noreen, her son Andrew Fortune and his son Liam.
Mrs Pell, whose maiden name is Keenan, was born in Newcastle County Down, the daughter of Joe Keenan who was, for many years, a councillor in the town. She came to England when 18 years old and has lived in Milton Keynes before the city centre was built.
