Thousands paused to remember the city’s war heroes at Remembrance Day services across Milton Keynes.
The event on Sunday, which this year fell on November 11 – Armistice Day – saw wreaths laid and a two minute silence observed.
In Newport Pagnell the Lord Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire, Sir Henry Aubrey Fletcher, took the salute during the parade, while in Bletchley people marched from Bletchley Park to the cenotaph in Church Green Road before a service at St Mary’s Church.
Wolverton Town Band performed The Last Post at the town’s Remembrance service at the war memorial which was preceded by a service at Holy Trinity Church.
Stony Stratford’s parade ran from the Cock pub to the War Memorial on Horsefair Green for an afternoon service.
In Olney a service of Remembrance was held at the war memorial, Market Square, and in Woburn Sands a service was held at St Michael’s Church.
