Gang armed with weapons assault man in his 50s during aggravated burglary in Milton Keynes

A man was hit in the face with what is believed to be a pistol during an aggravated burglary on Monday.

At around 8.35pm, three men forced entry into the property on Underwood Place, Oldbrook.

The men demanded money from the occupants, and one of the victims was hit around the ear with an object, believed to be a pistol.

Two iPhones and a quantity of cash were stolen from the victim, and the offenders then left the property in a small white van which had a sliding door.

The victim, a man in his 50s, sustained a cut near to his ear but did not require hospital treatment.

They are described as two black men. One of the men was around 6ft 2ins, athletic build, with a strong upper body and smooth complexion.

He was wearing grey tracksuit bottoms, a black top, a hood around his face, a black coat and trainers. He looked around 24 years of age.

The second offender was around 6ft 4ins and of an athletic build. He wore a grey tracksuit and had a red face covering, and was thought to be around 25 or 26 years of age.

It is reported that all of the offenders were holding bladed objects.

Det Insp Jason Simpson said: “A thorough investigation is now in place to identify and locate the offenders, and local residents may see an increased police presence in the area as part of this.

“We are urging anyone who witnessed the incident to please come forward, including if anyone saw a small white van in the area around the time of the offence.
