There were beaming faces at Hazeley Academy after the school announced its best ever set of GCSE results.

The school’s overall pass rate was over 99 per cent and around half of all grades awarded were A*, A and B.

A total of 83 per cent of students achieved an A* to C grade in GCSE maths, and with impressive English results, over 71 per cent of students achieved A* to C grades in both of the subjects.

One third of Hazeley students earned three or more As or A*s and one in 10 achieved between eight and 12 A* and A grades.

Principal Mark Bennison said: “This is a fantastic year for Hazeley – still one of the newer schools in Milton Keynes – with a set of results to match the very best.

“We are proud of students’ well-deserved achievements and I am privileged to be working alongside such an incredibly hard-working and dedicated team of staff.”
