There were plenty of smiles at Ousedale School on Thursday as students celebrated their GCSE results.

The examination results are the best ever acheived by Ousedale students, with more than 96 per cent of the year group earning five or more A*-C grades.

There were stunning individual performances, including Laura Cowell, Emma Whiting and Joshua Rose all acheiving 10 A* grades , while 15 per cent of all students acheived eight or more A*s or As.

And more than half of the students got three or more A*/As.

Head teacher Sue Carbert said she was delighted with the examination results, and that a strong team effort was the reason behind their sucess.

She said: “I am incredibly proud of all our students, at both Newport Pagnall and Olney campus. It was a team effort: staff, parents and most importantly the students each playing their part. I am sure everyone is delighted.”
