A NINE-YEAR-OLD girl was taken to hospital after she was hit in the face with a BB gun pellet as she was walking along a road in Stantonbury.

At about 4.30pm last Friday, the nine-year-old was walking along Lincoln, when two boys nearby fired a BB gun at the ground.

The pellet ricocheted off the path then bounced up and hit the girl in the face.

The boys ran away from the scene and the girl was left with a minor injury which needed medical treatment.

She was taken to Milton Keynes General Hospital to be checked over but was discharged and has no permanent damage as a result.

There is no description of the boys who fired the BB gun, other than that they were teenagers and were not wearing shirts at the time.

Any potential witnesses or anyone who saw the boys in the area should contact PC Robert Burton via the 24-hour Police Enquiry Centre on 101.
