Golfing star Shamiso Hatchard has continued her success after being selected to join the England Golf under 18 AASE squad.

Along with a full day selection procedure with an England golf coach and manager, Shamiso was required to provide England Golf with a golfing CV along with passing a minimum of five GSCEs including Maths and English which she completed at The Webber Independent School.

Shamiso holds a handicap of 4 and is one of the country’s most promising female golfers after following in her father’s footsteps and developing a passion for golf at eight-years-old.

This month, she will compete in the Junior European Open event in Andalucia.

Shamiso said: “My selection for the England Golf u18 regional squad is another significant milestone in my career. I hope to build on this with a view to obtaining a golfing scholarship at a top US university.”

Principal Sue Vig said: “We are incredibly proud of Shamiso and feel privileged to have watched her progress in her golfing career. We have been able to support Shamiso in her education which has played an important part in her being selected for the squad. We wish her all the very best of luck.”
