A TRAVELLING bear visited Milton Keynes this week – to celebrate Greg Rutherford’s Olympic gold medal.

The long jumper grabbed gold at the London Games earlier this month and patriotic Andrea Adams visited two postboxes painted gold by the Royal Mail in his honour.

The childminder from Northamptonshire brought along her Jofli Bear – one of a special brand of teddies designed for travellers.

And the picture she took has now sparked a national challenge for Jofli Bear’s to visit every gold post box in the UK.

Jofli creator Suzi O’Neill said: “Jofli owners often send us photos of their adventures to upload to the ‘Your Jofli’ page on the website.

“When I found out that every gold medal winner would have a post box painted in their home town, it seemed a great idea to get the children and families who own a Jofli Bear to help us collect a photo of every post box around the country to celebrate our success in the Olympic games.”

Jofli owners can upload their photo to www.goldpostboxes.com, tag Jofli Bear’s fan page on Facebook, or send their photo to info@jofli.com.

An Olympic Jofli sized T-shirt goes to the first photo of each post box and a list of photos collected can be seen on the ‘Your Jofli’ page at www.jofli.com.
