Gulliver’s Land is slashing the price of tickets for one weekend only in a bid to help out families and individuals in crisis.

The family-run company has released £9 tickets online, available for visits on Saturday and Sunday this week.

And all you have to do to qualify for the discount is simply bring along an item to donate to an on-site food bank on arrival.

The theme park is working in partnership with Trussell Trust food banks which fed 346,992 people in crisis across the UK last year, and will hand over all of the food donated to the charity’s centres.

A Gulliver’s spokesman said: “We’re always looking for new ways to become even more involved in community projects to help families in need.

“We decided to offer our loyal and generous customers a small incentive to do their bit for a fantastic cause – the number of food banks across the UK has soared over the past few years, so we’re keen to support them through what is an extremely difficult time for many local families.

“It’s also our Jamboree Weekend so all the Brownies, Scouts and other badge groups visiting have been invited to join in by donating an item each too.”
