Stacey Martin, from Greenleys, has had lovely long locks since she was a child.

But by going in for the chop on Tuesday, she hopes to raise £1000 for The Little Princess Trust.

Stacey also wants to contribute to the cost of a memorial bench for Rhiley Bennett, a three-year-old girl from Milton Keynes who passed away from cancer in April 2015. The memorial bench will cost £1468.80.

Serenity Salon in Newport Pagnell will give the haircut, and will also donate 50% of their takings on Tuesday to the charity endeavour.

“We lost our three year old daughter Rhiley on April 23, 2015 to a deadly form of cancer called AT/RT,” said Kim Bennett.

“A few days after we laid her to sleep, I set up the charity, Rhiley’s Smile.

“We rely 100% on donations which enables us to support other charities, oncology wards and families with children battling cancer.

“Our future aim is to be able to have enough funds one day to start a project in research and fund equipment for research labs.”
