Handbag returned after theft in Monkston

A WOMAN had her handbag stolen as she walked close to flats in Monkston on Monday.

At around 6.50pm the 19-year-old was walking near the flats at Lindores Croft, when she was approached from behind and attacked. The offender took her bag and ran off.

A member of the public witnessed saw what happened and chased the offender before managing to get the handbag back for the victim.

No property was taken from it and the woman did not suffer any injuries.

The offender is white, about 5ft 8ins tall of average build. He was wearing a dark coloured hooded top with short shaved hair.

Detective Constable Samantha Reynolds, of Milton Keynes police station, said: “We are particularly keen to hear from the member of the public who retrieved the bag as he may be able to assist us with our enquiries.”
