A woman had her handbag snatched in a robbery on Friday after she shopped in Morrisons.

At about 2pm, the 38-year-old victim had walked to her car in Morrisons car park, having been in the store, when a man pushed her. She lost her balance and moved sideways and at that moment a man on a dark coloured mountain bike took her handbag from her shopping trolley and rode off.

The stolen handbag is lime green with a large bow on it. It contained a cream Cath Kidston purse with a pink flower on it, a driving licence, bank cards and £40.

The victim shouted for help but the offender managed to get away.

The offender is white, aged between 16 and 18, and of medium build. He was wearing a grey hooded jacket with orange or red markings.

PC Dave Monkhouse from Milton Keynes police station said: “There were people in the parking area and it is likely someone saw the offender.

“I would like to hear from anyone who noticed a man riding a dark mountain bike in the area or if they have noticed a discarded handbag fitting the above description.”

Any witnesses can call police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
