PEOPLE are still being invited to have their say on the future of transport in the city.
The Transport Vision and Strategy was adopted by the council in June 2011 and outlines future transport plans for the Borough for 2011-2031.
As part of the original strategy a review was always planned, and the council is still inviting comments until the end of the process on March 23.
The Transport Vision and Strategy takes into account the rate of growth of Milton Keynes, the current transport infrastructure and also a wider range of areas including sustainable transport, the reduction of carbon emissions, regeneration, provision and access of services for residents and improved safety, security and health.
The 2012 Transport Strategy Review document represents the first review of the Transport Vision & Strategy, as requested by the Council in 2011, and this review updates three key elements:
1. The updated evidence base using the MK Multi Modal Model, which shows how, when and where journeys are made in MK.
2. The incorporation of the Bletchley Transport Strategy into the main Transport Strategy.
3. The proposed transport schemes which have been updated and reviewed with explicit prioritisation process.
