Have your say on hospital staff and volunteer awards

Patients who have used Milton Keynes General Hospital are being asked to nominate people for the annual staff and volunteer awards.

There’s just over a week left to make a nomination for the awards, which celebrate individual and team achievements in the NHS.

The hospital wants to hear from you if you have been a patient or a visitor and seen someone go above and beyond the call of duty in providing care or experience.

There are seven award categories. Five are linked to the Trust Values - setting an example, self awareness, working together, pride and enthusiasm, and openness - and there are additional awards to recognise patient safety improvements and those involved in changing things for the better.

Last year, more than 60 people were nominated. Winners and highly commended staff included doctors, nurses, matrons, porters, cleaners, midwives, scientists and ward managers, as well as numerous volunteers across the hospital.

Nomination forms are available directly from the hospital or can be downloaded at The Hospital website

If you are unable to access the internet or the hospital campus, please call 01908 243922 and a form will be posted to you.

Nominations will be open until August 17. Shortlisted nominees will invited to a special awards section of the Annual Members’ Meeting during the evening of September 12.
